Profotos Staff Evaluation:

Pakistan native, Farah Mahbub, is an incredible self-taught photographer who's prints are nothing short of amazing. Farah's work in photography began in 1988 and it continues to this day through self-led exhibitions and freelance work in Pakistan and abroad.

What is really amazing about Farah's work is the beauty of her alternative process prints. In her biography, Farah states that she learned to do alternative process printing through books and magazines. Some of the processes employed in Farah's work are very difficult to master and it is truly amazing that she has learned to do this on her own.

Aside from the magnificent quality of her prints, Farah's photography is wonderful as well. Our staff especially enjoyed viewing Farah's alternative process images, as they convey a sense of mystery and true impressionism.
