The darkness of night is not usually the time when we see photographers running around in the streets photographing. Most photographers head out the door with their equipment in hand when the sun rises, and return home when the sun sets. These photographers who have never photographed between dawn and dusk are missing out on a lot.

Matthew Lennert is a photographer, who is far from average. He is a photographer who explores the light and shapes of the night-time. The dark hours are Matthew's favorite time to create his works of art, which are quite beautiful and well produced.

Few photographers at Profotos have images of the night included within their portfolios, let alone an entire portfolio of them. Matthew's portfolio is comprised of only night time images.

Matthew's images of buildings, bridges and lights are very thought provoking and surreal in many ways. Working in black and white, Matthew is able to produce images which exhibit a great interpretation of the form and shape of objects. This lack of color creates mysterious and surreal moods within Matthew's images, which are incredible works of art.
