Roger Johnson's long-standing career in the professional photography field began over 25 years ago, when he graduated from the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. Roger's photographic career has covered all seven continents of the globe since his graduation from Brooks!

Our staff thoroughly enjoyed evaluating the beautiful work in Roger's well-diversified nature portfolio, which ranges from landscapes to underwater sea life. Roger's great compositional style and use of lighting are two of the contributing factors to the excellent images in his portfolio. Several of Roger's nature images have won "best of show" awards on a regional and statewide basis within the state of California and beyond!

One of our staff's favorite images from Roger's portfolio is included at the top of this page (penguins). The compositional elements of this image work very well together through the flawless execution of several elements, including: foreground-to-background separation; asymmetrical balance; continuity of action / motion (as well as a measure of pattern formed by the penguins), etc...to sum up the evaluation of this photograph - it is a great shot!
