Having been born and raised in the Rift Valley in Kenya, Africa I quickly learned an appreciation of the beauty and sometimes harshness of Mother Nature. Sights, sounds, textures and smells that some people can wait a lifetime to experience were part of my everyday life. It was during this time that I first started to try and capture the images around me, firstly through drawings and then finally through photography.

After brief spells in the south of England and rural Wales, I eventually settled in Edinburgh, Scotland. Here surrounded by awe inspiring views, I started to take photography more seriously. Recent moves to France and finally to New Zealand as well as numerous trips to Asia, Europe, Australia and the US over the last 2 years have further inspired me to finally share my images with a wider audience.

A self taught photographer, my normal subject matter includes wildlife, nature and an increasing number of ancient and modern architecture. All of my images in my portfolio have been taken in the last couple of years. All of the images have been inspired by the natural beauty, light, texture and sometimes humor of the subjects being taken. Someone wise once told me "everywhere you look there are gems waiting to be discovered, you only need the vision, patience and a little luck to see them". Hopefully the images here reflect those words.
