My name is Dennis Calkins and I have been photographing motorsports now for over 20 years. In that time I have seen many improvements at the race tracks as well as in the quality of my work through the lens. The only formal schooling I have had is in the real world. I have spent many days working for that one great shot, learning with each click of the shutter. I have turned my passion for photography and motorsports into a business that is growing every day. I have sold many photos to race fans around the world and even had a feature spot on the season calendar / poster for Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2002. I also have photos featured on the Ruhlman Motor Sports Trans Am series team web page in 2005.
With time I have learned wedding and portrait photography under the guidance of local wedding photographers. I shoot mostly digital images now, but still have a desire to shoot 35mm and medium format as well.
I have a desire to make the jump and continue photography as a full time career when the time is right, until then, freelance and contract photgraphy will keep me busy.
