My name is Michael F Bradtke.
I have been deeply involved with photography since I was 15. I shoot 35 mm (Nikon), High-end digital (Nikon) and medium format (Mamiya). I spent 4 years teaching Film and Video production on the college level. I started as a lab instructor and was the Associate Course Director for a year before I decided to move on. I loved teaching but I wanted to try some other things.
I have on screen credits as a camera operator for a nationally syndicated television show. I also have credits as a camera operator on a short movie shot on Panavision equipment. I have a very strong background in lighting and grip.
I have traveled around the country following horse show circuits working as a photographer. This taught me to make sure you get the shot right the first time because you may not get a second chance.
I like working in studio and on location. My favorite form of photography uses natural light. When I am in the studio I am always trying to make my images look as if there was no lighting done to them at all.
I continue to try to expand my photographic knowledge and ability by continuously reading and practicing my technique.
