Tara Shriner was raised on the Central Coast of California and is a 5th Generation Californian.
At one time she was a world ranked competitive swimmer who attended the University of Southern California on a scholarship. She majored in exercise science and psychology and after college began a 10 year career with the YMCA working in fitness and aquatics.
The craving for new experiences lead to enrolling in the Graphic Design and Computer Graphics Certificate Program at Otis School of Art and Design. Otis is where she realized her passion for photography.
Although she has only worked with a camera for about the last year and a half, she has developed a large portfolio of work. Children are one of her favorite subjects, she tries to tell a story with every picture, or at the very least make you smile!. Other subjects include still-lifes of toys and beach and country scenics. She is interested in working commercially and would love to shoot sports photography.
Tara is currently working as a freelance photographer and graphic designer in Pacific Palisades, California.
