Born in Scotland in 1958, Spent the last 20 years or so working with
marine mammals both captive and wild. Spend 6 months a year in the Norwegian arctic with long periods at sea on various Cetacean research programs. Based in Berlin, Germany the rest of the time. Spent each fall since 1993 in Tysfjord, Northern Norway, assisting as an ID photographer on the Norwegian Killer whale project.
Customers include editorial, advertising, posters, book publishers, calendar / card publishers. Published nationally and internationally in Germany, UK, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Japan, Spain. Represented by 6 natural history agencies worldwide as well as promoting my work personally from Berlin.
Although marine mammals are my main photographic focus, I´ve recently begun shooting general Stock and travel images in addition to preparing to shoot underwater in future. My main focus remains the Norwegian Arctic.
