It's all my mother's fault. She's the one who plopped the Brownie into my 2.5 year old lap and said "here, hold this while I get some change ready". (She still has the resulting photos - for what reason, I'm not sure - I think it's just her packrat characteristic coming into play.) She created the beast that I am today, by golly. For that, I'm grateful. And, I'd venture to guess this first and, to this day, memorable experience is the subconscious reason why more than 70% of the images I capture are of things close-up and less than 3 feet off the ground.
