The frame with the fresco that takes up the upper two thirds of the image, confirms the rules of the classical composition. The light, a bit warm which overwhelms the whole scene, undoubtedly caused by the artificial lightning of the hall, allows the visitors to emerge in the same ambiance as the guests at the Cana weddings. The costumes and attitudes which could easily make the époque difference between the livings in the painting and the 20th century visitors, have been swept in a perfectly controlled moving mixture. The exposure time has been chosen as long enough to capture the details, but short enough to give the image readability and to sense the presence of the visitors. Also finding the right moment to press the button makes one immediately feel the influence of Cartier Bresson, whose admirer, the author says he is.”
