James has been involved in photography for nearly 25 years. His passion for the craft began at an early age and blossumed during his tours of duty in the US Navy.

For the past few years James has been instructing workshops and leading photo safaris throughout the Rocky Mountains and South West United States. james has been compaired to the Crocidile Hunter, Steve Irwin and the Late Galen Rowel due to his undying passion and energy when he is in the field. James can often be found running up or down a mountain side arriving just in time to catch the light the way he envisioned it in his mind.

James has authored an instructional field guide titled, " Nature Photography Naturally", used as an instructional aid for all of his workshops. This book is currently being reviewed for publication by several publishing houses.

James is currently working on three publications for the near future as well.

James has also had a number of articles and features published in various magazines and websites. He enjoys the ability to share his knowledge and passion for Nature photography.

James is an active member of North American Nature Photographers Association, The National Wildlife Federation, The National Parks Foundation and The Sierra Club.
