Frank and Jolanda Timmermans, a married couple living in Steenbergen (Noord-Brabant) the Netherlands. We share a lot of passions and one in particular : Naturephotography.
Frank was born in 1970 in a small village near Bergen op Zoom, called Lepelstraat (Noord-Brabant). Jolanda was born in 1971 in Heemskerk (Noord-Holland).
Frank has always been interested in photography. Even when he was a little boy he loved taking pictures with his fathers Kodak. He got his first (compact) camera when he turned 12. At the age of 22 he bought his first SLR, a Canon EOS1000. He started shooting what fascinated him most: nature. Frank took several Photography-classes in Bergen op Zoom in the year he turned 25.
Frank and Jolanda met in 1998, and he made her familiar with the Canon EOS. Jolanda, who wanted to become a "camerawoman" when she was little, learned the photography basics very fast.
Soon we decided we needed a second camera, because we started "fighting" about who could use the EOS 1000. So we went for a Canon IX. Also we decided to go semi-digital, and we started to scan al our film on a Canon FS2710 filmscanner.
In the year 2000 we went on our first trip to Bretagne (France) and we shot 40 rolls of film. We saw many gorgeous scenes which most of them were captured on film! Scanning this amount of film took ages.
Thankfully that year Canon launched its D30. So we treated ourselves to the Pro version (as our wedding-gift) before we went on our Norway-trip in 2001.
It was the first time we visited Scandinavia... and we're hooked! We'll be returning May 2002, and surely will visit the Bird-Island Runde again. Hopefully we can "catch" some Puffins this time!
Many other beautiful places will be visited over the years to come.
We hope we can show other people how beautiful nature really is from our work. Lots of people don't take time to admire the beauty that even surrounds their own home... That's why we us the slogan : "See world’s beauty through our eyes..."
