John Lund has been shooting professionally since 1976. In 1990
he first began to use Photoshop to manipulate images on a
computer. He now divides his time between his stock photo
production (see below for stock explanation), assignments, travel
and his "John Lund Collection", a series of images featuring pets
and other animals in human-like poses and situations.
These images are used for greeting cards, posters, calendars, jigsaw
puzzles, and stationery. "Bringing out the human qualities in
animals" is what john finds most rewarding about his animal series.
"It really is fun" he goes on to say, "and I often find myself laughing
out loud as an image comes together". To see the entire collection,
search under "John Lund Collection" or "Animal Antics."
John and fellow photographer Nevada Wier are currently working
on a book-in-progress on Ladakh, a portion of India bordering
Tibet and Pakistan. "In Ladakh one can still find villages where
people are living as they have been for 900 years (we were eating
meals cooked over yak dung fires)...it's one of the last places of pure
Tibetan Buddhist Culture." John's Ladakh photos can be found by
searching under "Ladakh" or under "Travel/Adventure."
John's work has won numerous awards including: The
Communication Arts Photography Annual, The Print Design
Annual, Western Art Director's Club, PDN/PIX Digital, Micro
Publishing News, Photo Metro etc. He and his work have been
profiled in: Professional Photographer, Macworld, PDN, Mac Art &
Design, Design Graphics, Photo Metro, Computer Artist, Shutterbug,

Santa Fe Workshops, Palm Beach Workshops and others.
He has spoken on Imaging at PhotoPlus (East and West.) Seybold,
MacWorld, and various venues in the U.S. and abroad. John is currently
serving as one of the four members of the National Digital Committee of
the Advertising Photographers of America.
