Lisa's experience as a photographer runs the full spectrum from fashion,
portraiture and still life to magazine and advertising commissions. She
is also a highly regarded sports photographer with work appearing
regularly in sports magazines and assignments undertaken annually for
the Australian Football League. Her specialty lies in photographing
people in the most unusual and fascinating ways to capture intimate and
original portraits. She takes pride in her attention to detail and in
the ability to shoot "anything at anytime". This versatility led to Lisa
being appointed to shoot action stills for the Jackie Chan film "A Nice
Guy". Her sports specialisation includes in depth photographic coverage
of swimming, karate, athletics, ironman, sumo wrestling and body
building.
Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts-Photography Royal Melbourne
Institute of Technology in 1989 before traveling overseas and working as
a photographer's assistant in both London and Paris. She returned to
Melbourne in 1992 and established herself as a freelance photographer
and in 1994 established Gotham Studios in Richmond.
Lisa is currently enrolled in a Masters Degree of Multimedia at Swinburn
University and has most recently exhibited at the Photographers Gallery
in Melbourne. Prior to that she featured in a Permanent Exhibition at
The Australian Confederation of Sport Headquarters in Canberra,
Melbourne Photographers Exhibition in 1999 at Dugerres on Chapel, the
Our Melbourne Exhibition at the Melbourne Town Hall and at annually at
Gotham Studios Group show.
