Profotos Staff Evaluation:

Sometimes at Profotos, we have a difficult time expressing our thoughts about a photographer's work. This usually occurs when the work in a photographer's portfolio is an extensive collection of absolutely incredible images. While our words can help to describe the actual content of the images, and how they were created, they cannot depict a valid representation of the photographer's mastery of the medium. Michael Paras is one of these photographers.

With an extensive background in photography, Michael Paras has amassed one of the most extensive stock photography portfolios on the internet our staff has ever had the opportunity to review. When we arrived at Michael's site, we were presented with hundreds of images from several different categories. Each category contained portfolios of Michael's work, which were excellent in every way. From the lighting and composition, to the excellent use of the frame and in-camera controls, each category had something to offer.

One of the most interesting aspects of Michael's work is the way he uses movement and shutter speeds in his images. We noticed dozens of images on his site, which were intentionally blurred to create a definitive sense of movement within the frame. This sense of movement is intense and flawless in its execution.
