Profotos Staff Evaluation:

Wow! If you have had the chance to read any of our evaluations at Profotos containing this statement, you will know what this means. The "Wow!" factor is one we use very carefully at Profotos, to describe our very best members in their chosen field of the medium. Chris Markes receives the Wow! factor at Profotos, for his incredible images of the American West. Flawless compositions, great lighting and good use of color are just a few of the elements we found in each of Chris's images.

What makes this portfolio more amazing is the fact that Chris has been working seriously in the medium for only a few years. He recently moved up to the 4x5 class of image-makers, which goes a long way in assisting him with the quality of the images he is producing. When our staff first viewed these images, we were under the impression that Chris was a well-seasoned photographer, with many years of experience under his belt! He should be, given the exceptional quality of the images in his portfolio.

Let this portfolio be a reminder to us all that youth has its place in society and the younger generation can have a great impact on our world. Watch for Chris to make his mark on photography in the future, as his skills continue to improve. It will be interesting to see where the road leads him…
