Profotos Staff Evaluation:
Photojournalist, Paco Feria, is among a class of photographers who dedicate their lives to documenting the harsh realities of our world. Paco's documentary projects have spanned several countries and cultures during the past several years.
After Hurricane Mitch devastated the small, Central American country of Nicaragua, Paco traveled to this region three times to document the effects the hurricane had on the people of the region. This event was a turning point in Paco's career, which is now focused on his project entitled "The Eternal Hope". Paco describes this project as "the forgotten people of the earth. Little human stories about the people"
The hearts of our staff go out to the people included within Paco's project, as they include some of the least fortunate people on earth. The images within Paco's portfolio convey this sense of loss and despair, although, there is a notion of hope and prosperity within some of his compositions.
Paco's work serves as a healthy reminder to us all to remember those people around us who are less fortunate than we may be. Enjoy browsing Paco's portfolio and remember the people who he is focusing on…
