Elena is an accomplished photographer with twenty years of experience in documentary, commercial and art photography.

Working with digital media, Elena produces portraits, headshots, product and photojournalism style images.

Having a practiced artist's eye for posing or composing her subject matter, she creates true beauty while remaining open to her clients' suggestions. Incorporating a high level of professionalism and artistry, Elena's work produces satisfied and repeat customers.

Elena is skilled in the use of Adobe Photoshop CS2 and most plug-ins associated with this application and can produce images from their raw format to excellent images for print ready use, commercially or any other type of publication. She is meticulous and pays close attention to detail. Whether it is an image that needs adjustments, restoration, or total manipulation, she is able to resolve most imperfections and apply modifications.

Originally the studio began as a solo operation, but now her son Barnett has joined her to create what is now a family business, Elena Comens and Son Photography.

In 1998, during the technology boom, Barnett's interest in computers helped to eventually create Elena Comens & Son Photography.

Several years ago after buying his first digital camera his interest in photography peaked. What was first a hobby became the seeds of a new career. Once he combined his computer skills with his love and knowledge of photography he knew he found a way make this work as a business.

He decided to join his mother and now business partner Elena Comens to create a digital photographic studio for portrait, pet, and product photography. Elena is a credited documentary photographer herself and was very excited when Barnett proposed the idea to her two years ago.

Barnett has a backround in art and design plus is self taught in many aspects of digital photography and image enhancement.

Barnett also enjoys documentary as well as the more commercial aspects of photography.
