Travel photographer / film-maker, Luciano Bovina of Italy is considered to be one of the top documentary photographers in the world. Luciano's work has been exhibited throughout several countries as both still images and motion pictures. After 20+ years of working as a documentary photographer, Luciano's impressive portfolio contains thousands of still images and more than 30 documentaries.

Luciano began his stellar career as a photographer in the Italian Navy, where he received the foundation for his work. Throughout the years following his work with the Navy, Luciano worked to produce one of the most dramatic and compelling bodies of documentary photography/films in the world.

Among Luciano's awards is one of the most prestigious awards available to professional photographers worldwide - the Nikon International Photo Contest. Luciano was awarded the ultimate Grand Prize in this contest in 1996, with his image of an Ethiopian tribesman and tribeswoman crossing a stream (this image is included in Luciano's Profotos Portfolio). The 1996 Nikon Grand Prize awarded to Luciano's photograph was chosen from a body of over 36,000 photos from photographers in 53 countries!
