My interest in photography began at the age of 16,and at the age of 24 as a professional photographer interested in many aspects of photography but specialised mostly in black and white, weddings and portraiture. For my portrait photography I have always been inspired by David Hamilton and got from him in the begining of my career a positive remark commenting some of my photos send for a photo contest in which Hamilton was chosen to judge and give a final opinion. He said looking at my photos, "The technique is important, but most of all the contents".This happened in Holland in 1977.This is what i always try to achieve with my work in portraiture,trying to give a sensual and dreaming effect and contents.To make a good portrait,i believe,you need to install a good and trustful relation with the subject and be able to trasmit your idea and feeling. English is not my mother language and for me it is very difficult to say more about what I realy think about this pure form of art,i hope my photos may speak for me.
