Mel DiGiacomoI picked up a camera by accident in 1968 and began teaching myself photography. Eventually, I left my job at CBS to attempt freelancing in the photography field.

Soon after my move into the full-time photography market, I made a move to London, where I played and photographed rugby. When I returned to the U.S. a year later, I brougth my rugby photos to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The director, John Szarkowski, selected 4 of my images for the permanent collection and exhibited one of them in a group show.

During the past 30 years, I have worked for Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, NY Times, People, Paris Match, Tennis Week, Stern, etc. I have had corporate and advertising clients, along with many weddings throughougt my career.

I am a member of ASMP and the Image Bank. I have been awarded two Art Director Gold Medal Awards and I am serious about producing the best images you can find.
