Her first solo exhibition, "The Colors of My Life", was held at Bistro du Soleil, Rowayton, CT in October 1996. A quote from the Darien News-Review stated, "...this remarkable collection captures the colors and moods of such diverse territories as China, Egypt, Thailand, Tuscany and England...her photographs depict the richness of her experiences and the culture of far-off lands." Marshall's images were selected and sold in Stamford Downtown's festival, "Celebrating Woman", summer 2004. For eight consecutive years, her photographs have been selected for exhibition by Greenwich, CT retailers during Greenwich Arts Council's annual Spring Festival, "Art to the Avenue". 2001: Hoagland's of Greenwich; 2002: Neal's Yard Remedies, and 35mm Photolabs; 2003: Clive Christian Furniture; 2004: Image Arts of Greenwich; 2005: Sotheby's International Realty; 2006: Prudential CT Realty; 2007: Banana Republic; 2008: Penang Grill.
For the last decade, feeding her innate passion for South Asia, and following in the footsteps of her late uncle and aunt (he served as British Political Officer in Tibet, Bhutan & Sikkim, 1933-1935), she travels each year to South Asia. Her annual two-month adventures include travel in India,Tibet, Bhutan, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Mongolia. She has visited Bhutan, as a guest of the Royal Family, and, during her visit to India in 2000, was received in private audience by His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama of Tibet. Immersing herself in the mystical cultures of these distant lands, be it the awesome majesty of the mighty Himalaya, the colorful tribes of northeast India, the ancient monasteries of Ladakh and Tibet, horseback riding with the Kazakh eagle hunters of Western Mongolia, or cruising the backwaters of Kerala, South India, Ms. Marshall delights in the richness of her experiences and strives to capture the spirit of her travels through the lens of her camera. Marshall has produced a slide presentation of her Asian travels, the proceeds of which are donated to Tibetan Children's Villages, an organization in India fostering more than 14,000 children.
Her portfolio focuses on Asia, and also includes Egypt, New England and Europe. Her photographs are in private collections in the U.S.A., Italy, England, and India; her greeting cards and postcards are available at retail outlets in the Norwalk area.
