Gary Ell is an image-maker concentrating in both conventional and digital imagery processes. His varied career in Photography has led to assignments varying from fine-art portraiture to high profile photojournalism for the Department of Defense. He is currently the Operations Director and Senior Photographer for a DOD Contractor, providing contractual imagery support services to the US Dept of Defense. Gary’s images have been internationally published, widely exhibited and are permanently held at the National Archives. He has documented everything from Hurricane Mitch relief efforts in El Salvador to Ethnic Albanians fleeing war-torn Kosovo.

Gary earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, School of Photographic Arts and Sciences in 1994. He set up the first digital imaging Visual Information Services Dept. in the US Air Force in 1996, was promoted to Project Manager/Senior Photographer in 1997 and Operations Director in 2001.
